The Ventotene Papers were published, since 1988, by the Altiero Spinelli Institute for Federalist Studies with the aim of promoting the dissemination of the federalist thought in Europe and the world.
The first paper published was The Ventotene Manifesto in Italian, English and French. The full list of the published Ventotene Papers is available in the website of the Institute.
Beginning from 2008, the Institute decided to relaunch the Ventotene Papers, mainly in English, with a more frequent issuance. Every issue is devoted to a special topic and usually contains more than one essay. Every essay should normally be around 10,000 words long, including notes and references The scope is to analyse a certain problem, relevant from the federalist point of view, on the basis of the most accurate methodology of the social sciences. The objective is to provide a comprehensive and precise knowledge of the main political, economic, juridical, ecological, social and historical aspects of the process of European integration and world integration.
